Changes to the Property Agents and Motor Vehicle Dealers Act
Starting on the 1st of October 2010 there will be significant changes to the way that parties are bound by residential real estate contracts. The amendments that come into effect on the 1st of October will hopefully close the door on the technical faults which have allowed buyers to terminate contracts. These minor technical issues arose from poorly drafted legislaton and have haunted sellers, solicitors and real estate agents for several years.
